So how can we cope with paranoia and avoid letting it ruin our mood, relationships, and work?

Here are some simple steps that can help:

  1. Acknowledge your paranoid thoughts, but don't give them power. Don't try to suppress or ignore your paranoid thoughts, as this can make them stronger and more persistent. Instead, acknowledge them as thoughts, not facts, and remind yourself that they are not based on reality or evidence.
